What Pauline Denise Means |
![]() You are influential and persuasive. You tend to have a lot of power over people. Generally, you use your powers for good. You excel at solving other people's problems. Occasionally, you do get a little selfish and persuade people to do things that are only in your interest. You are usually the best at everything ... you strive for perfection. You are confident, authoritative, and aggressive. You have the classic "Type A" personality. You are a very lucky person. Things just always seem to go your way. And because you're so lucky, you don't really have a lot of worries. You just hope for the best in life. You're sometimes a little guilty of being greedy. Spread your luck around a little to people who need it. You are relaxed, chill, and very likely to go with the flow. You are light hearted and accepting. You don't get worked up easily. Well adjusted and incredibly happy, many people wonder what your secret to life is. You tend to be pretty tightly wound. It's easy to get you excited... which can be a good or bad thing. You have a lot of enthusiasm, but it fades rather quickly. You don't stick with any one thing for very long. You have the drive to accomplish a lot in a short amount of time. Your biggest problem is making sure you finish the projects you start. You are very intuitive and wise. You understand the world better than most people. You also have a very active imagination. You often get carried away with your thoughts. You are prone to a little paranoia and jealousy. You sometimes go overboard in interpreting signals. You are friendly, charming, and warm. You get along with almost everyone. You work hard not to rock the boat. Your easy going attitude brings people together. At times, you can be a little flaky and irresponsible. But for the important things, you pull it together. You are balanced, orderly, and organized. You like your ducks in a row. You are powerful and competent, especially in the workplace. People can see you as stubborn and headstrong. You definitely have a dominant personality. You are the total package - suave, sexy, smart, and strong. You have the whole world under your spell, and you can influence almost everyone you know. You don't always resist your urges to crush the weak. Just remember, they don't have as much going for them as you do. |

This is just h-e-a-v-e-n-l-y.
Liptint in Delusion swatched under natural lighting.
And how the color looks on my lips.
Again, sorry for the bad quality of pics (I'm no professional, obviously!) But if anyone's interested, visit here. There's 4 pretty shades to choose from! *wink*
Plus, the owner, Ms.Lami, is suuuuppppeeerrr nice and cool! ^_^

Colors up close!
Weeee! Birthday post! :P
Maybelline Expertwear Eyeshadow. The colors even have labels like lid, crease, brow bone and outer corner. The outer corner label ( bottom right) disappeared already, beacuse I've been attempting to put eyeshadow on myself (like a guinea pig) :P
Covergirl Instant Cheekbones. Pretty, pretty colors! I've been using the color on the right- not on my cheeks, but on my lids! Hehehe!
I know, I suck at taking pictures *boo-hoo*. But, it's my birthday, so, gimme a break! :P

Weeee! Gifts!!!
Wednesday, July 2, 2008
Maybelline Expertwear Eye Shadow (Complete with a pic of the eye with parts labeled. Just perfect for eye makeup dummies like me, hehe.)
Covergirl Instant Cheekbones, for contouring the cheeks. I have no idea whatsoever on how to contour my cheeks, all I know is the basic "Smile!" and brush blusher on the apples. But the colors are oh- so- pretty, that I instantly fell in love with it.
NYC eye liner pencil in In the Navy. At first, I was thinking, blue eyeliner is so not for me, but then, if you want to have a subtle pop of color to your simple, neutral eye makeup, then this is the way to go. Line this on your lower waterline and you're all set. I've actually tried it, together with my bronze-ish Ever Bilena Smooth Eyes.
Yeah, I know, this is a shameful display of my messy table! :P This is my most favorite, Victoria's Secret Garden, Forbidden Fantasy body lotion. Ahhh.. the smell is sooooo heavenly (at least for me), that when I slather it on, I want to fly all the way to China to charm a certain hubby *wink*
Thanks Tita Lorie! Loved all of these to bits! *hugs and kisses*

My Ever Bilena Advance Smooth Eyes.
Thursday, June 5, 2008
So, here's a closer look of what I bought recently from my last week's loots:
And then there were two.The soft applicator. Just twist the pen until the product comes out.
Swatches:
With flash. ( Top: Golden look, Bottom: Olive Green)
Under natural lighting.
Ever Bilena says: This waterproof formula, having a soft- touch gliding applicator applies evenly and quick to dry. Giving you a powdery finish that is ultra comfortable and non- sticky feel.
Pauline says: Yay! Perfect for eye makeup dorks like me! It's like I'm drawing on my lids. It's creamy, glides on smoothly, and there's no sticky feeling at all. Probably this should be used with a great primer, maybe like UDPP, because it did not withstand the major oiliness of my lids. I think that's called creasing? Anyway. Who am I to speak, I'm sooo clueless about eye makeup application? :P

Why, pimples, why???
Sunday, June 1, 2008
Ah, not again. I thought dealing with pimples was waaaayyy over!
And yet, they're here again, wreaking havoc!
Argghhh!!!!
It must be:
1. The verrrry weird and sudden hot, humid weather
2. Me, sleeping verrryy late ( oops.)
3. Me, stressed out
Grr. Way back in high school, back to the times when I was a pizza face, I have tried almost about anything to make my pimples disappear. I used benzoyl peroxide, Clean and Clear toner, Clean and Clear face powder, Pond's facial wash, Pond's facial scrub, a cream kind of like Ly-na, Likas Papaya, and even trying out Betadine ( I was that desperate ). I even tried having a facial which did nothing but aggravated the situation. Ah, why do pimples have to be on the face? They can freely proliferate on the soles of my feet, thank you very much.
Hay. What to do?

My first-ever eyelash curler.
Thursday, May 22, 2008

Beeeeeyyoooottifuull!!! So I instantly grabbed it and headed to the nearest counter. And here's me trying it out:
Just the mascara. Aack. My lashes are stick- straight.
After curling.
OK, so the pics proved that I'm an idiot for curling my lashes for the first time. Hihi. At first, I was wary of having my lashes and my lids burned, but I found it harmless! It does heat up, but not the clothes- iron ouchy kind of heat. It's perfectly safe, even if it presses too close to your lids.
[ Insert picture of myself, nursing lid burns ]
Ahhh just kiddin'. Anyhoo, now all I need is a Fasio hyperstay mascara ( Which I've been itching to buy, grrr) to help my curl stay put. :D

Lazy--Crazy.
Saturday, May 17, 2008
I guess it's fitting to start this post with an evil laugh.
So. It's, like, what? A few months already?Years?
So.
Hahahahahaha.
Okay, 'nuff fooling around.
I've had a new haul from Bare Naturals again, and a little more others, so , I have now a collection of pics on my digicam which are generally intended for posting. But, alas, the evil in me struck with such force--ahem-- (getting too Lord of the Rings-ish here), that I cannot gather enough strength to claw my way against tide after tide of laziness to get to my PC, hence, the lack of updates.
In short and simple terms, I'm feeling laaaazzzzzyyy.
So.What have I been up to these days? Simply bumming around, playing God of War 2 (again and again) with the lil' bro, and exercising. Yep, you got that right-- exercising. Been doing (attempted) sit- ups, stationary jogging (to the fridge), and dancing (like some psychotic drunk woman). With no effect whatsoever on me, obviously. But I won't give up. I won't! I am soooo dying to get rid of my flabs in exchange for abs!!! No, I'm not trying to be Arnold Schwarzenegger here, but I want a tummy like JLo. Sexy, sexy! And also, I've been bumming around, wallowing in my separation anxiety from the hubby, which can all be found in my tearful, dramatic, blog (and now is my cue to insert HEAVY sarcasm). Hehe. When I'm sad, I just can't avoid to be not dramatic. C'mon. Give me a break, will 'ya? :D

My Block&White deodorant powder and Biolink lotion experience
Monday, April 28, 2008
Two prods in one review!
That's how lazy I am (Insert evil laugh).
Ok, first off, the deodorant powder. It has:
- Natural Tawas to eliminate odor-causing bacteria without irritating or darkening the skin;
- Anti-perspirant that provides all-day protection from wetness, which is often the cause of itching and odor;
- Talc Powder that provides silky smooth application, keeping skin soft and dry.
Hmm.. I was curious. I thought it was like in a gel-form that turns into powder afterwards. So I decided to try one, and- gee- I forgot how much it costs. Hihi. I think it's somewhere from 30 - 40 php. Just correct me if I'm wrong. :P
So. I tried it,and I was surprisd that it was all-powdery, not the gel- like form I was expecting. I put it on, and it smelled OK.
The whole day I stayed at home and did my chores like cleaning the house. Afterwards, I exercised with sit- ups, stationary jogging, and a bit of push-ups.Oh, well. The exercise does not have any effect on me; blame it on my Mom's good ol' lutong bahay.Hihi.
Anyway. I'm sad to report that this prod is not for me. Because I started to smell funky. Unlike my trusty Rexona deo-stick activreserve in Silk, my underarms still smell oh-so-good (hehe) after a whole day. And I don't worry about having sweaty armpits with it. With the Block&White, my underarms felt sticky (eeeew).Anyway, it didn't work for me, but maybe it would work for others. Others who aren't sweaty monsters like me. Grrroowwll.
On to the 2nd prod, the new Biolink lotion Anne Curtis is endorsing. What caught me in the ad was a line that said something like "non- greasy" or "non-sticky". I really hate lotions that are very greasy, especially at this time of the year, when it's uber hot. So, I bought a variant in Day Defense, with SPF 20. It smelled really good so I slathered some on my arms and legs. After a few minutes--Aack! Greaseville!!!!!!
Sigh. Anyway, since I did not like both prods, my Mom was more than happy to adopt them.
Hihi. ^_^

My "Excuse Letter" for being tardy.
Tuesday, April 22, 2008
Dear Sir:
I apologize for being late again today. I was already preparing for work at around 12:00 p.m. and I used this for the first time:
It's my foundi-stay in neutral light medium, and I applied it first on my, erm, bakokang. After that, I used a blush brush to apply it now on my whole face. And I couldn't believe that my pores were smaller and my face looked kinda better than it was without primers. And then I applied my prettiest-pink blush (was a freebie in a sample baggie), and I was amazed again. The color was so natural. It was amazing! And when I first examined the container of my foundi-stay,it was really filled up,as in punong-puno (well, with the exception of the space made for the sifter!) I hope I get understood at this part because somehow I'm having a lapse in my English.Harhar. And,sir, I forgot to mention that my foundi-stay and the blush looked oh-so creamy.Sigh.So Icould not stop looking at the mirror after I applied makeup.Bare naturals is so uhhhmaaaazziiiinngg!!!! But, sir, my favorite of them all was the s5 primer. Maybe I could get one for your wife, then we'd call it quits,eh?
Sincerely Yours,
Pauline
(original post can be found on my drama site :http://sweetdadibaby08.blogspot.com/2008/02/my-excuse-letter-for-being-tardy.html this is now edited, with pics that I personally took, albeit a little disastrously.Hehe. Oh, and the bottle of the primer in this post is the 20.g.)

It has been a very long time!
...since I last blogged.Hehe.Well...I was kind of sick these past few weeks (yeah, a bad case of tamad-itis, unfortunately.) Hehe. Anyway, since I'm on the road to recovery, I will have my 2 cents on:
1. My HG primer from Bare Naturals (actually, I will just repost the review here, from my other blog (the drama- stuffed one);
2. The new Block&White deodorant powder and the Biolink lotion that Anne Curtis is currently endorsing;
3. The new battery- operated eyelash curler I got from Watson's (hehe, this is pretty!);
4. And my HG liptint, once again, from Bare Naturals.
Aja! I can finish this! ;p

Something from Avon
Tuesday, April 1, 2008
Actually, I got this last month (hehe),but I really like these:
Avon Longest Lashes Ever in black/brown and Avon Glazewear Liquid Lip Color in Tickled Pink.
Damage: mascara-399 php, liquid lip color-50 php!!!!
I've always wanted to get the liquid lip color, which was originally priced at 375 (Ithink, but I'd double-check that again),and I thought it was too pricey. But when I got their first March catalogue,it said if I buy something from their catalogue from page so-and-so,I can get the lip color for 50 pesos. And it was a promo I can't pass up!
So, I got the mascara. It was my first ever mascara to purchase.I'm not really a fan of those things because: A.) I have a bad habit of rubbing my eyes especially when I'm tired; B.) I always poke my eye when I put it on; and C.) The mascara smears after a few hours because I am super oily. But I bought it anyway because I want to experiment with my lashes.HEHE.
I've tried the mascara, and it does lengthen my lashes. But I've got long,stick-straight lashes,so I think I'll be needing eyelash curlers with this.
The lipcolor has a yummy scent, sometimes I just put it on just so I can have an excuse for smelling it (Drug addict?).But the shade is too light for me,but this is good when you have, like a strong eye makeup. If I want a bit of color,I wear my Maybelline Watershine Hyper Diamonds in Sparkling Pink(And,that's a mouthful, for a lipstick's name) before I put on my liquid lip color. One of these days,I'll post a pic so you guys can see for yourself.

Shampoo Away!
Monday, March 31, 2008
Ah.I've found my HG shampoo.

My L'oreal Smooth-Intense shampoo. Damage: 175 php, lasts for more than a month for me.
Now, I can shampoo as much as twice a day, without any dryness or frizzyness.
And I sound like a bad endorser.Hehehe. :D
Truth is, I shampoo twice a day: 1.) in the morning before I go to work.I shampoo with this and afterwards leave conditioner on my hair for 5-10 minutes. 2.)in the evening when I get home from work.Because I'm feeling sleepy and lazy,I skip the conditioning.
But, with this shampoo,my hair doesn't feel dry,and I have no trouble whatsoever combing it after I take a bath. And it still feels soft and silky after I air-dry it.
*Sigh* Truly HG material, right up there with my s5 primer. Can't live without it.

5 Beauty Crimes I'm not ashamed to commit (hihi)
Thursday, March 27, 2008
Got this from Li(z)terati (interesting! hihi):
1. I know TOO much shampooing is drying for the hair, but-- I do it anyway.I hate the feeling of sleeping with my hair feeling itchy and oily...eeeek.And then I despair when my hair returns to its original, industrial strength state.
2. I go to the mall, all excited to look through lots of makeup to buy. But, when I actually get there,I end up buying nothing.I always think to myself,"Do I need this right now?" Hehe.(Kunyari matipid, but my boyfriend complains everytime I get my salary,I have something new from Bare Naturals.Hihi.)
3. When I arrive at the office and get to my desk, I take out my huge mirror, and check my makeup, and marvel at how nice mineral makeup is.After a few minutes, I take out my mirror and look at my makeup again. After a few hours or so, I do it again.Ah.It's a vicious cycle that just repeats. :D
4. I don't know anything about-er- eyebrow grooming. That's why my Tita Badette complains "Ano ba yang kilay mo!" everytime we see each other every Saturday.
5. I always use concealer for my.....Elbows! Yup, this is such a huge turn- off, but I'm a fair-skinned person with dark elbows. Hihihihi. Now, if only I can use them for----Ahahaha!

From my divisoria trip last year...
I just want to share 2 of my favorite things from my divisoria trip before Christmas last year:
Price:140 php.Last price: 70 php
I like this cap coz of it's cool, kinda worn out look. My mom pretty much liked coz she's "borrowing" it. :D
Price:250 Last price: 200
I find this very cute and kinda comfy. ^_^ It's also a bit roomy..I use it when I go out of the house with all the "kikay" essentials in it: full-to-bursting kikay kit, pack of tissues, large brush (hehe), fan, wallet, lotion, alcohol...etc...hehe.

Backlogged- argh!
Wednesday, March 19, 2008
Anyway, anyway.I'm so busy and tired the past few weeks,so I haven't made a single post about my loot here.Hehe.
From Bare Naturals: s5 mattifying primer for oily skin,Prettiest Pinky-Peach blush in 10 g.
I swear, these products are sooo amazing, but all for a very reasonable price (compared to other brands--visit their site to see for yourself!). Their makeup is sooooo ubeerrr amazing. And very healthy, too.See, I'm a girl blessed with the many qualities of a good skin: acne-prone,oil factory skin, large pores, pot-holed, and scarred.Did I mention "insert heavy sarcasm" here? Hehe. But, try using the primer, then their foundi-stay, plus their blush and-- voila!Very nice coverage, plus no irritations whatsoever.
Anyway, I also remember a time last week (can't remember what day) that when I got home, I got a big plasticful of these:
Cream Silk Precision Repair Treatment sachet (14 php each), Palmolive Naturals Papaya Soap White + Protect (40-5- php each I think.hehe.)
Mama bought it for me, and when I got home it's like I won the Kabuhayan Showcase. :D The Cream Silk is like giving your hair TLC every week,it makes your hair shiny and soft. The Palmolive is really nice, I've been using it after I became irritated to Likas. I know, I already have fair skin, and I shouldn't be using whitening stuff anymore, but the papaya stuff helps clear my back acne.Hehe.
So.Here comes the last loot I have:
March 2208 issue of Seventeen (85 php) and Preview (125 php)
I dunno why, but I suddenly got addicted to fashion magazines. Preview is best if you're looking for haute couture, and Seventeen is best for people who regress back to teenybopper years.Hehe.Seriously, my favorite would be Seventeen, because of the young, carefree vibe that it brings.
That's it for now, and will probably post some-erm- backlogged topics. :D

Hi and welcome!
Friday, March 14, 2008
Welcome to this-ahem-blog about being kikay, but on a budget (lol, pretty obvious on the blog name). Being pretty and all that jazz doesn't mean girls have to constantly burn a hole in their pockets. So, this is my diary about my quest for great kikay finds that are very affordable.
Umm..now, if only I can find out how to cross-post from my other blog...I'm so techie ignorant *boo!*
